Mareya Regan, LSW
I became a therapist because I’m passionate about helping people feel supported, understood, and empowered. From a young age, I was drawn to listening and connecting with others, and I knew I wanted a career where I could make a meaningful difference in people’s lives as they worked through challenges and moved toward personal growth.
I specialize in working with individuals of all ages experiencing anxiety, depression, body image concerns, self‑esteem challenges, and life transitions. I’m drawn to these areas because I love helping people build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and recognize their strengths as they navigate life’s ups and downs.
My counseling philosophy centers on trust, empathy, and collaboration. I believe healing begins with a strong therapeutic relationship and a safe space for self‑exploration. I approach both therapy and life with compassion, curiosity, and the belief that growth is always possible.
My personal and professional experiences have shown me that life can bring unexpected changes — in relationships, work, and school. These experiences help me approach each client with empathy and understanding, recognizing that healing looks different for everyone.
What makes my practice unique is my warm, validating, and client‑centered approach. Every person’s story is unique, so I tailor therapy to meet each client’s individual needs. By combining evidence‑based techniques with compassion and collaboration, I help clients learn tools that support their personal goals and emotional well‑being.
People often describe me as calm, warm, and easy to talk to. I bring a gentle sense of humor into my work and believe that laughter can be an important part of connection, even during difficult times. Whether in my personal life or in my work, I’m always looking for ways to be a helping hand and support those around me.
In the past, I’ve supported my community through food drives and partnerships with local nonprofits. I value giving back and hope to continue expanding my community involvement over time.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and my dog, getting outdoors for walks, and reading a good book. These moments help me stay grounded and bring balance to my life — something I encourage my clients to cultivate as well.
I hold a Master’s in Social Work and am committed to providing compassionate, individualized care that helps clients feel supported, understood, and empowered on their path toward healing.
