Cindy Wills, LCSW

I became a therapist after navigating several major adversities that reshaped my life and ultimately led me to a career in social work. I was drawn to a field that celebrates diversity, advocates for the vulnerable, and empowers people to reclaim their lives.

Today, I specialize in helping adults in North Jersey, including Wayne, Pompton Plains, and surrounding communities, who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma within the family system, and life transitions.

My approach is warm, person‑centered, and grounded in evidence‑based practices such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Stages of Change, and Trauma‑Informed Care, with additional integration of IFS and ACT when helpful.

I am passionate about walking alongside my clients as they build self‑esteem, clarify their goals, and strengthen their relationships. My own life experiences—managing anxiety and depression, raising a family, navigating divorce, returning to school, changing careers, undergoing cancer treatment and entering remission, and embracing the complexities of becoming a healthy senior—allow me to meet clients with genuine empathy and understanding.

People often describe me as kind, compassionate, resourceful, and willing to go the extra mile, and I bring those qualities into every session. Outside of my work, I enjoy being in nature and spending time with my family. I hold a Master of Social Work and have been a Licensed Social Worker since 2006 and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2008.
