Bart Mongiello, LCSW

I became a therapist after working alongside licensed social workers in my first full‑time healthcare position. Their commitment to helping others made a lasting impression on me and inspired me to pursue graduate school in social work. Over the past 39 years, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients across every stage of life — children, adolescents, families, adults, seniors, and individuals with developmental disabilities.

My counseling philosophy is simple: meet clients where they are and listen deeply. I believe meaningful change begins with understanding a person’s lived experience, and I strive to create a space where clients feel heard, respected, and supported. Listening is one of the most powerful tools we have, and I bring that belief into every session.

Throughout my career, I’ve learned from exceptional psychiatrists, therapists, administrators, and leaders. Those experiences shaped my clinical approach and strengthened my ability to help clients define clear, realistic treatment goals. Having both clinical and administrative experience gives me a full‑circle understanding of why people seek therapy and how to guide them toward growth.

People often describe me as empathetic and steady — someone who can find compassion in almost any situation. I value authentic human connection and work to build trust with every client I meet.

Outside of my clinical work, I’m actively involved in my community. I volunteer with organizations that provide essential services, including community kitchens, food pantries, emergency support for the homeless, and charitable foundations such as the Light of Day Foundation. Giving back has always been an important part of my life.

When I’m not working, I enjoy baseball and music, two lifelong passions that help me stay grounded and connected.

During my years as a full‑time mental health administrator, I helped quadruple the number of available mental health services and appointments offered to the community — a milestone that reflects my commitment to expanding access to care.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with decades of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges. My goal is to help clients feel understood, empowered, and ready to move forward with confidence.
