Valeria Villa, LSW

I chose this profession because I’ve always wanted to help people and support their journey of growth. Being a therapist means offering a comfortable space where clients can be authentically themselves — free from outside judgment. I find deep fulfillment in walking alongside individuals as they navigate life’s challenges and discover their own strength.

I specialize in anxiety, depression, OCD, stress management, and emotional regulation. My work focuses on helping clients build confidence and resilience as they move through life’s transitions. I use a strengths‑based, person‑centered approach, empowering clients to recognize that they are the experts of their own experiences. Together, we identify goals and strategies that foster healing, independence, and self‑growth.

My counseling philosophy is rooted in empathy, collaboration, and empowerment. I believe therapy should be a supportive and safe space where clients feel encouraged to explore their emotions and make meaningful changes. I aim to balance validation with growth — helping clients understand the underlying factors behind their challenges while building resilience and confidence.

Having worked with adolescents and adults through various stages of life, I’ve seen how each person’s experience is unique and cannot be defined by stereotypes. I bring honesty, warmth, and accountability to the therapeutic relationship, tailoring interventions to each client’s age and needs. My goal is to help clients see themselves as the authors of their own story.

Outside of work, I’m passionate about maintaining my own well‑being. I enjoy Pilates, long walks, reading at the beach, and connecting with others — even joining my town’s book club to meet new people. These activities help me stay grounded and bring balance to my life, which I carry into my work with clients.

I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) and am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW). My practice is guided by compassion, authenticity, and the belief that every person has the capacity for growth and healing.
